How To Search The Web Anonymously

As you might have guessed it already, the title indicates just that. "Search Google Anonymously". I have seen proxies being used to surf the net anonymously. But this is the first time I am coming across a concept which offers anonymous search on the web.

Actually I stumbled across this site a couple of weeks back. They have this search feature which will help you search google anonymously. This search site claims that when you make a search on Google, your ip address, the time, and what you searched for is stored in their database forever. They also claim that this information can be used in a court of law against you. I really do not know whether there is any truth behind it. But I guess its a possibility. According to this site Google will willingly allow authorities to consult their database.

I have tested their search features on site and it returned with exactly the same results as Google's. One of the plus points I noticed is that the results were devoid of ads as you can see in the screen shots below.

They have a two hour documentary video explaining the dangers of searching on Google, which is pretty convincing.

When you search on Google through this search site, it is Googlonymous that goes on Google and does the search for you. The only ip address that Google will see, is the ip address of the server of Googlonymous. It seems that they do not keep any record of who searched for what, so that it, is completely impossible to retrieve your identity. You can search for whatever you want without a care in the world, 100% anonymously. Click HERE if you care to have a look and watch the video!
